China Trade Show Guide

In order to get the best out of an exhibition, complete preparations in advance, which require good practices, are needed. What should enterprises pay attention to during an exhibition?

1. Make full use of the opportunities present at an exhibition and get contact with viewers as much as possible. People attending an exhibition are likely to be your potential customers, thus you must seize every opportunity to establish relationships with them. If possible, using this opportunity to hold a small party and invite your customers, old and new alike, to join. During the party, you could both introduce the latest products and communicate feelings with each other. In this way, effective and efficient results can be achieved.

2. Keep standing except when you are conducting business negotiations with customers. Sitting during an exhibition indicates that you do not want to be disturbed by others. Customers will consequently assume you are not paying enough attention to potential customers as you should have. And this will also impair their feelings about your products and related services.

3. Do not read irrelevant books or magazines in the limited booth space. You should take advantage of all possible opportunities. Draw the attention of both partners and enterprises to your own products, invite buyers and viewers to stop by and consult about your company and products and answer their questions in full spirit to enhance their confidence in you.

4. Make sure that you do not eat or drink arbitrarily. Such vulgar and indifferent actions will keep your potential customers from devoting their trust to exhibitors’ corporate cultures, management, staff quality, product quality assessment and the enterprises as well as their products.

5. The major goal of each exhibitor is to find potential customers. Don’t neglect potential customers even for a few seconds. Obviously, nobody expects to be neglected. If you are busy working, greet them first or allow them to join your conversation. If you are talking with exhibition partners or the one next to you, stop immediately.

6. During an exhibition, pay attention to the way and the time when you use the telephone. Every minute you spend answering irrelevant calls will correspondingly reduce your time to communicate with potential customers, which will subsequently affect attaining your anticipated business goals. Even if you find only one potential customer, it is a success anyway. In the meantime, phone calls made at an improper time may also result in losing existing customers.

7. Use appropriate methods when sending out materials at an exhibition. How could information of great value be sent to customers who are really in need of it? Post is a good way. There is no need to carry too many publicity materials, which may increase burdens on the exhibitor’s itinerary. But after the exhibition, you can send the materials to those who need them. It reaches two ends at the same time, not only showing the professionalism of the exhibitors who follow up with credit methods to reinforce the impressions they have left on customers, but also finding a well-grounded reason to do a series of telephone or Email tracking.
