The China Education Expo 2010 is planned to raise its curtain on 16 October, 2010 in China World Exhibition Hall, Beijing. And then it will cover will cover Dalian, Xi’an, Shanghai, Chengdu and Yunnan in the following weeks. The China Education Expo approved by Ministry of Education and sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) has already had ten years’ history.
The exhibition is held yearly from the year 2000 and this year is the eleventh one. As a regular exhibition, the China Education Expo has become a leader of China’s international education events due to its large scale, wide influence, great popularity. The exhibition attracts a large number of education groups from many different countries and the most attractive thing is its “Guest of Honor” feature which can fully focus on and illustrate the country’s education resources and competitive schools.
In the year 2004 during the period of the “Sino-French culture year”, Agence Edu France arranged 70 colleges and universities to attend the expo. In 2006 “Sino-Russia culture year”, Russian Academy of Education Sciences together with Russian Federal Agency brought 50 Russian colleges and universities to the China Education Expo for the first time. In 2007, 200 colleges and universities of 27 members from the European Union took part in the expo. In 2008, Canada applied its new education brand for the first time and brought 68 universities and education institutions to the expo. In the year of 2009, the USA became the “Guest of Honor” for the first time and had more than 70 US universities participated in the expo and achieved the historical largest sales.
As the largest exhibition of international education in China, the China Education Expo has become the barometer of the overseas study market. In the last year’s expo, more than 540 colleges, universities and education institutions from 33 major countries for overseas study attended the expo and more than 50 seminars were held during the expo. Visitors reached 68000. This year’s exhibition will also be a great expectation.
