Over the past 17 years, the PTC ASIA fair for the power transmission and control industry has built a growing reputation and now is the exhibition which is the largest in Asia and the second-ranked in the world of its kind. This year, PTC ASIA 2008, which is jointly organized by China Hydraulics Pneumatics and Seals Association, China General Machine Components Industry Association, Deutsche Messe, Hannover Fairs Shanghai Ltd and China National Bearing Joint Import and Export Corp, is to be held from October 27 to 30, expecting to have 1,300 exhibitors displaying the latest products and technologies over 58,000 sq m of floor space.
Classification
Last year, a classification approach was adopted for the first time and will continue at PTC ASIA this year to meet current consumer demands in technology, equipment and products. Its grid layout will include mechanical and electrical power transmission, fluid power, compressed air technology, machine parts, fasteners and springs, bearings, internal combustion engines and gas turbines. Business people form other industries will also attend the fair, such as automobiles, textiles, architectures, packing, plastics, electronics machinery, airlines and petrochemicals.
Support from associations
Germany, Italy, the United States, Britain, France, Spain, South Korea and China’s Taiwan province will provide pavilions to the event. Besides, varieties of domestic and overseas professional institutes such as VDMA, European Fluid Power Committee and Assofluid Italy will work jointly at the event, which will further promote PTC’s involvement with IT, micro-electronics, automation control technology and new materials. Furthermore, the innovative layout and service of the event have attracted many famous companies expected to strengthen its prestige and growth.
Professional activities
PTC ASIA will also offer a wide range of professional activities in addition to its large attendance. Fasteners and springs for industrial manufacturing and auto manufacturing will be highlighted in this sector. Experts and officials will also share their knowledge in forums on China’s hydraulics, pneumatics and seals industry, nuclear and wind power, machine parts technology and trends in 2008 domestic compressor and manufacturing.
